We’re a husband and wife team, who are second-generation in this industry. Shaped by the quiet strength of two immigrant fathers who each built successful 40-year careers in flooring through presence, care, and follow-through.

 

They taught us early that character is everything.

That trust isn’t earned by what you say, it’s how you show up. How you treat people. How you stand by your word.

 

We watched them lead by example, building not just businesses, but legacies. And the values of their legacy is the foundation of everything we do at Abode.

One of the happiest chapters early on was our first home together. We always called it our “humble abode.” It wasn’t just where we lived, it was where we realized how much we cared about space. About making it feel considered, personal, and truly ours.

When we got married, the idea to build something together came naturally. Not just a business, but something that reflected who we are and what we’ve lived.

That’s how Abode began. A name that nods to where we started. Designing a process shaped by everything we’ve learned.

We spent years behind the scenes supporting our family businesses and learning every part of the industry.

 

Along the way, we partnered with contractors, vendors, factories, and brands at every tier of the supply chain - seeing what worked, what didn’t, and where things often broke down.

Through those years we built a trusted network. One that gives us the confidence today to stand behind what we source, promise what we can deliver, and ensure everything we present has been carefully vetted through firsthand knowledge.

We’ve regularly visit trade floors, talking with makers, and sifting through endless catalogs to uncover what’s meaningful in our industry.
